My story

Before coming to Canada, I had already built a career in Human Resources overseas. After becoming an international student in Canada, I experienced firsthand how difficult it can be to break into the Canadian job market — especially in a profession like HR, where local experience, cultural understanding, and hiring practices matter deeply.

Through further education in Canada, professional certification, and years of working in recruitment and HR, I learned how the system truly works. I navigated job searching during COVID, built professional networks from scratch, and ultimately secured a full-time HR role with a global organization in Canada.

After establishing my career in Canada, I founded Joe Hoang Career Consulting to support international students and newcomer professionals who are navigating the Canadian job market.

Through the firm, I provide structured career services, one-on-one coaching, and practical job search guidance grounded in real-world HR and recruitment experience.

Today, I use both my professional HR expertise and lived experience to support others who are going through the same journey.
